Kaštel Gomilica was built in the first half of the 16th century by the Benedictine nuns from Split. They also built the Romanesque Church of St. Kuzma and Damian in 1160. We’ll go inside the Catholic monastery right next to the church – another shooting location from the Game of Thrones Series.

Afterward, we paddle back enjoying the sunset view. We’ll make a short break at the Bakery Riva and eat a traditional Croatian street food called Burek, a pie made of finely chopped or minced meat, usually combined with yogurt. If you’re not a meat pie fan, you can choose another tasty snack from the best pastry in Kaštel. Now that our tummies are full, we can easily paddle back to the Baletna Beach.
